How to Fold an Origami Crane

Shown here in my ‘Ōhi’a Lehua origami paper, available in Origami Paper Set 1 in my boutique.

Begin with paper pattern side up.

Flip paper over.

Fold as shown to the center crease.

Unfold the top. That crease will be a guide for the next step.

Fold as shown to the center crease.

Repeat on the other side.

Bend up to create a crease guideline.

Fold it up again now between the wings, using the crease as a guide.

Do the same on the other side.

Bend one end down to make a head.

Pull wings out and stretch out the back of the crane to open it up.

Finished!
