The flower painting fills one yard for the regular size and about 1.6 yards for the XL size. Regular panel is approximately 36 in/91.44 cm wide x 56-59 in/142.24-149.86 cm tall depending on the substrate. XL panel is approximately 56-59 in/ 142.24-149.86 cm square depending on the substrate. The XL panel is great for wider pattern pieces, larger size range, and whole cloth quilting!
The shirt is made and modeled by @katilulemakes using one XL cherry blossom panel and the Make by TFS Bloom shirt pattern. Katie placed all the flowers along one side for an asymmetrical placement.
The skirt is made and modeled by @luannesewcializes using the Just Patterns Stephanie Skirt. Lu-Anne adding underlining to give the skirt more body. She used the XL panel on the back and the regular panel on the front.
My dress is made with Peppermint Paddington Top pattern, hacked into a dress plus a ruffle. I used 3 yards of cherry blossom cotton poplin: 1 for the front, 1 for the back, and 1 for the sleeves, plus 1 1/2 yards of plain pink kona cotton for the ruffle. My hat is made with Pattern Fantastique’s Sulis Hat Pattern. My young friend is also wearing my dress!
The second dress is made and modeled by @studiogypsy using one panel of the Cherry Blossoms and the Seamwork Kenedy Dress pattern. She made the cap sleeves and back of the dress with an upcycled pink gingham baby sheet. (Her yellow over shirt is a hacked version of DIY Daisy’s Maya Ruffle Dress made with a thrifted tablecloth.)
The chair was upholstered by my client, Marsha Hill. She used scotch guard to protect the fabric.
