When I worked as a staff member in child and teen programs at the Downtown Berkeley YMCA from 2014-2017, kids started asking me to draw their portraits. Over the years, I drew a large collection of their portraits, all in pencil on printer paper, and we taped each one to the wall in the Y, making a growing mural of their faces. It was a wonderful project and some of kids asked me to draw them several times, so you can see them growing older through the portraits. See a selection of the portraits below.
